Our brother Cristobal Santiago Leyba (Chris), born August 10, 1969, entered the arms of his heavenly father on April 4, 2022. Cristobal is survived by his parents, Eli Faustin and Nellie, brother Gregory (Yolanda), sister Consuelo, and sister Marina (Miguel). He is also survived by his nephews Gregory, Miguel, and Matthew; his nieces Alyssa, Nadia, Molly, Carolina, Isabella, and Amira; his great nephews Gregory and Nicholas, and his great niece, Victoria. Chris leaves behind his longtime partner, Tammy, with whom he shared much laughter and many special moments, and was thankful to share love of two more nephews brought into his world, Darien and Julian. Chris loved the outdoors, and was one with nature. He had a green thumb in the garden and a talent for landscaping. He had great compassion for animals, and since childhood was always rescuing and nursing any injured dog or bird he came across. He loved fishing, camping, hunting, off-roading, and anything with wheels on it. Meticulous by nature, Chris was an excellent marksman, carpenter, and restored automobiles to pristine perfection. He enjoyed spending quiet time building RC cars, and taking them for a spin with his nephews and nieces. Cristobal was blessed with many talents, but his greatest blessing was unconditional love. He ministered this gift to everyone he met throughout his lifetime. He brought a lot of joy to his family and friends, and we are thankful to God for having the time we shared with Chris. We will never forget our beloved brother. He shall remain in our hearts forever.
