David Esquivel, a cherished member of the Nogales, Arizona community and a dedicated professional in the banking industry, passed away on June 8th , 2024, at the age of 73. Born and raised in Lordsburg, New Mexico, David started his first job in banking in 1969 with First National Bank of Lordsburg. He relocated to Arizona in 1989 where he began his career in Nogales devoting over 35 years to assisting locals with their financial needs and supporting start-up businesses. His amiable personality, extensive knowledge, and professionalism forged countless friendships within the community. David was known to many as a devoted family man, passionate hunter, and a skilled professional shooter. He cherished time spent with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren, and enjoyed cuddling with his beloved dog, Russell. An avid sports fan, David took great pleasure in cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, the LA Lakers, and the Arizona Wildcats. He also found joy in playing his saxophone and more recently, took up golf with his grandsons, a hobby he quickly mastered. David will be fondly remembered as a loyal friend to all who knew him. David is survived by his wife, Peggy Esquivel; his daughters, Tracy Atilano and Tessa Esquivel; his grandchildren Eric Atilano, Cassie Atilano, Marcus Esquivel, Taylor Atilano, Isaac Diaz, Matthew Esquivel and great-grandchildren Lyliana, Analia, Derick, Aleyna and Ezekiel as well as his siblings Annette Hinojos and Dennis Esquivel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad and Micaela Esquivel, and his beloved brother, Eddie Esquivel.
