David Jonathan Hayes

We are sad to announce the passing of David Jonathan Hayes Sr. who died shy of his 78th birthday, on March 16, 2023.

David was a graduate of Florida State University and served as an Army Military Intelligence Officer.  David retired as a special agent from United States Customs.  He then went into the general contracting business and the building of homes.  Working with wood was his passion, also David loved reading, baking and spending time with his grandchildren. He was always generous with his time helping others.  He attended the First Baptist Church in Green Valley and Nogales, Arizona.  The Memorial will be a private ceremony with only his immediate family present.  

He is survived by his wife: Sharon Lee Hayes; Son: David Jonathan Hayes Jr; Daughter: Laura Dawn Rickard; 4 Grandchildren: Parker Bennett Hayes, Kalena Solario Hayes, Kyra Rickard and Daniel (Scotty) Rickard; 3 brothers: Tim Hayes, Charles Hayes and Douglas Hayes; 1 Sister: Beverly Hayes Fisher
