David Alan Moore

David Alan Moore, a devoted family man and esteemed member of the Nogales community, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 83. Born on August 16, 1941, in Nogales, Arizona, David’s journey began in a town that would remain close to his heart throughout his life.

A graduate of Nogales High School in 1959, David proudly served in the United States Army immediately after high school, a testament to his dedication and sense of duty. His career was marked by his passion for boot making and western retail, culminating in the opening of his own store, David's Western Wear, in 1980. Throughout the years, he became known not only for his craftsmanship but also for his warm and welcoming spirit that attracted many to his store.

David was a man of many interests and talents. In his younger years, he enjoyed team roping and raising cattle, activities that reflected his love for the western lifestyle. He found joy in bowling during his youth and later transitioned to an avid golfer, where he reveled in the camaraderie of the sport. His personality shone brightly; he was hard-working, loving, and incredibly supportive of his family. David had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel loved, embodying generosity and kindness in every interaction. His infectious sense of fun made him a cherished presence among family and friends alike.

David’s legacy will forever live on through his loving family. He is survived by his children, Karla Moore, Gina Moore, and David Moore Jr. and his wife Patricia Moore; grandchildren, Daniel Aguirre, Christian Aguirre, Adrian Aguirre, Jacquelyn (Devon) Taggart, Jordan Ruiz, Mikeyla (Harry) Bluck, David Moore III, and Dorian Moore; and great-grandchildren, Emilia Aguirre, Noah Aguirre, and Sebastian Taggart.

Additionally, David leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who were fortunate enough to know him.

David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Valencia Moore, who remained a guiding light in his life. Their bond was a testament to love shared and the memories created, which will continue to inspire those who knew them.

Services to honor David will be held on January 23, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nogales, Arizona. The Rosary will begin at 1:30 PM, followed by a Mass at 2:00 PM, where all are invited to come together in remembrance of a remarkable man whose spirit will be profoundly missed but always cherished.
