Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us. On Saturday, July 31st, 2021 Diana Trujillo gained her wings and went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy of faith, family, and love.
Diana (aka Lady Di) was born on January 28, 1950, in Tucson, Arizona. She graduated from Tucson High Magnet School in 1968 and decided to pursue her Bachelor’s Degree at Arizona State University where she graduated with a degree in Education in 1998. She spent over 10 years as an ESL teacher in Phoenix, Arizona, and San Antonio, Texas. Diana’s heart was in her school and students, and she shared her passion for learning with hundreds of children. She also loved to sing and volunteered as the Children’s Choir Director for many years at her church.
Diana was a compassionate, loving, and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend and made a lasting impact in the lives of all who knew and loved her. She never knew a stranger… they were only friends she hadn’t met yet. Her passion was caring for others, especially her father, children, and grandchildren while sharing the love of Jesus with everyone she met.
Diana is survived by her father Joe L. Trujillo and her children Larissa Bustamante (Frank) and Patrick J. Betancourt (Josie), her sister Jenny (Ralph), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Ernestina F. Trujillo. Diana was the loving grandmother to Dakota, Jasmine, Joshua, Justin, Andres, Josyleen, and Briella and great grandmother to Leonardo, Noah and Tyler.
Above all, Diana loved her family and instilled in her children and grandchildren strong Godly values that have served them well. She was a tremendous blessing to many and will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts
