Edward Rafael Velasco

Edward Rafael Velasco, a beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, passed away at age 74 on August 17, 2019, surrounded by his family.  He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carol Velasco; children, Laura Velasco, Brian Bayze (Sarah) and Karin Bayze; brothers, Luis Velasco, Memo Velasco and Tony Velasco; sister, Mercedes Cantu; and granddaughter, Chloe Bayze.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Dolores Ramirez.  He worked for the Fresh Produce Inspection Service for 14 years, retiring as the Program Administrator.  He later returned to the produce industry as Food Safety Inspector for Chamberlain Distributing.  He had a thirst for knowledge and an immeasurable love for his children and family.  He will forever be in our hearts.  We have provided a link on this page which allows you to donate in Edward's memory to the American Cancer Society.
