Eleanor M. Lopez

On January 19th, 2021, Eleanor "Cha Cha" M. Lopez passed away at the age of 79. Eleanor was born in Tucson, AZ on September 13th, 1941 and was a life long resident. On April 11th, 1964 she married Lindolfo "Lindy" Lopez and together they raised 8 children. Eleanor retired from Goodwill Industries and from then on was devoted to caring for her husband and keeping up with her grandchildren, her family was always the most important to her. She had a passion for sunsets and capturing memories with her camera, her favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys, she loved to root for her team. Some of her hobbies were embroidery, puzzles, watching Bold & the Beautiful, and collecting Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe memorabilia. Eleanor will always be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother and Nana. She was a caring person with a big heart and could see beauty in everything, she had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. We were all so very blessed to have such a beautiful person in our lives, she will forever live on within us. To honor her we will forever carry on her legacy of love and kindness.

 

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Mrs. Grace S. Romero and Mr. Rodrigo R. Romero; her Husband of 51 years, Lindolfo "Lindy" Lopez; her grandson, Albert "AJ" Cazz Lindolfo Lopez Jr.; sisters, Dora Alvarado (Willy), Norma Trinidad (Alphonso) and Jeanne Ortiz (survived by Victor l).

She is survived by her sons, Alberto L. Lopez, Robert Lopez, Edward J. Lopez, David A. Lopez, Ruben M. Lopez, Rudy R. Lopez, Jose M. Lopez and Armando L. Lopez; sister, Evelyn Alvarez; brother, Anthony "Tony" Romero; 43 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.
