Elvira C. Padilla
August 4, 1921 — January 9, 2018
Elvira C. Padilla, 96, was surrounded by her family when she went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 9, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rafael S. Padilla; son, Louis Padilla and daughter, Carmen Padilla. She is survived by her sons, Frank Padilla (Elizabeth), Ralph Padilla (Bertha), David Padilla (Marge), Ray "Herbie" Padilla and Henry "Chicky" Padilla (Cleo); daughters, Bee Delahanty (Fernando), Margaret Alvarado (Johnny) and Mary Helen Lomeli; 23 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Elvira kept a beautiful garden at home. She would relax by watching her novelas as well as listen to music especially her favorite songs; La Unica Estrella, Cruz de Madera and El Rinconcito. Her home was always open to friends and family and she looked forward to her "get-togethers" on Sundays. She had a sense of humor and was always joking around with her children and grandchildren. Her heart was touched by those who were in-need and she gave what she could to help them. She sewed and cooked for her family making sure they were all well fed. She enjoyed vacationing and loving on her pet, Chiquita. She made an impact on many lives and will be missed greatly. We would like to give a special thanks to her care-givers, Valerie, Catalina, Mario and Mary Helen.
