Erick Joseph Macias Nunez

Erick Macias Nunez, 18, walked into paradise on March 26, 2018.  He is preceded in death by his uncle and Godfather, Art Macias Jr.  He is survived by his parents; Amy Macias, Gabriel Nunez and step-father, Derek Taylor; grandparents; maternal grandparents, Shirley and Arthur Macias Sr.; paternal grandparents, Ruby and Guillermo Nunez, and Karen and Calvin Taylor; sisters, Ayanna Taylor, Sophia Taylor and Damaris Lopez Nunez; girlfriend, Priscilla Parada; brother, Desi Nunez; aunts, Suleyka Macias Scribner, Deliz Nunez, and Devonnie Nunez; uncle, Guillermo H. Nunez; godmother, Gabriela L. Macias as well as many cousins and friends. 

Erick, "Spidey", as he was known to many, was a wonderful young man with a warm and contagious smile and a beautiful soul.  He had many goals for his future, perhaps joining the military and continuing his education.  He was athletically gifted and enjoyed working out at the gym, often proudly posting his progress on social media. He loved football, basketball and being part of the cheerleading squad. Music was a strong passion and he enjoyed playing the guitar and piano. Erick was a good cook and especially baking.  He was a caring and protective brother to his sisters and a special gift to his beautiful mother. Him and his girlfriend, Priscilla had a very special relationship.  He had a close bond to his fur companion, Dustin.  Erick’s spirit blessed many lives in the short time he spent with us. He loved his family and friends and was much loved in return. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten-holding an unforgettable place in the hearts of all those he touched.

Services entrusted to Martinez Funeral Chapels. Visitation will be on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Prayer Service will commence at 12:00 pm.
