Erlinda G. Pacho

Erlinda G. Pacho, 91, of Tucson gained her angel wings on March 14, 2019 peacefully at her home. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends whose lives she touched throughout her long memorable life.

She is survived by sons; Henry Pacho Jr. (Ruby) and Hector Pacho, Daughters; Violet Arellano (Manny) and Viola Bonillas (Robert), sisters; Rosario Guillen and Mercy Martinez, 19 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by mother; Rafaela Guillen, father; Bernardino Guillen, brothers; Manuel, Joaquin and Joseph Guillen, sister; Lydia Sereno, daughter; Estella Fernandez and ex-husband; Henry Pacho Sr.

Erlinda was born March 5, 1928, in Tucson, Arizona, to Bernardino and Rafaela Guillen.

Erlinda worked as a seamstress for many years before she began her career in retail at the Lerner’s Store downtown making just over $3 an hour. Being the hard-working woman she was, she persevered. As a result, she retired as a solderer making over $10 an hour. She was an independent woman that taught us all to work hard for the things we wanted in life.

She loved to dance and she loved to listen to music. She enjoyed gardening and taking the flowers she grew to the patients at St Mary’s Hospital. She embraced all that she came in contact with. She cared for her neighbors, and her neighbors loved, admired and respected her in return.

Erlinda was a strong woman that worked hard to provide for her family. Her hard-working hands and gentle smile were familiar to those around her and brought much joy. She gave us all her strength, courage, and reminded us of the preciousness that is life. Our Matriarch, our core. Lost but not forgotten. Her memory will live on in each of our lives and she will forever be in our hearts.
