Erma Martinez Rohde, 99 earned her wings on December 24, 2022. Erma was born in Tucson, Arizona to Antonio and Sarah Martinez. Erma is predeceased by her husband, Gene Rohde and six of her brothers and sisters. Beloved mother to Yvonne June Johnston, Robert Lawrence Sandoval, and Elvina Lynn Sandoval. Survived by her loving brother, Leo (Lupe) Martinez. Erma was a loving grandmother to 10; great-grandmother to 24 and great-great-grandmother to 13. Erma retired from the State of California as an Instructional Dietitian. She set an example of hard work ethics and the importance of education. Erma gave unconditional love to all. She loved reading the Bible, playing the piano, organ, making and painting sculptures, collecting her doll collection, and watching her novels. A special thanks and gratitude to The Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church and Peppi's House. "A Wife, a Mother, a Grandma too, this is the legacy we have from you." A celebration of life will be held at Martinez Funeral Chapels, 2580 S. 6th Avenue on January 10, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A procession will be followed to Binghampton Cemetery, 4001 Alvernon Way, Tucson, AZ 85718.
