Ernesto Durazo Jr., 65, of Tucson passed away on September 28, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Concepcion Durazo, mother; Maria Teresa Durazo, children; Ernie (Patti) and Marco (Michelle), and Diana Lara (Ben), brothers; Alfonso and Gustavo Durazo, sister; Terri Lemus, Grandchildren; Dora, Joseph, Gabriella, Marco, Benjamin, Neveah, and Arianna.
Ernesto Durazo served his country with pride for 20 years in the United States Air Force as a firefighter. He loved listening to his music (banda and oldies), cheering on his Los Angeles Dodgers, reminiscing about Huasabas, Mexico, talking about la milpa, and riding horses. However, more than anything he loved his family, and he cherished his grandchildren with all of his heart. He enjoyed grilling on the BBQ for his family and friends. Ernesto was very kind, loving, thoughtful, and caring person, and he never met a stranger. He had the biggest heart and many people loved him for it. His sense of humor was with him to his last day. He had an infectious laugh, and he had a unique way of making others laugh. He will be missed dearly by all of his friends and family.
