Esther Echave Landa

Esther Landa, a resident of Nogales, AZ for 58 years, passed quietly at her home on December 17, 2017, at the age of 92. Preceded in death by her husband, Rafael Landa and sons, Oscar and Rafael Jr.; daughter, Gloria; survived by her children Esther Landa, George Landa and Donald (Celina) Landa, 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was born and raised in Choix, Sinaloa, Mexico and moved to Nogales, Arizona in 1959. She was smart, determined and devoted to her family. She worked for many years at Sacred Heart Catholic School, A kinder, gentler, soul the world has not known, in her spare time she was committed to charity work and was always taking up collections for needy children and families in Mexico. Love, laughter and memories brought to us by her, still makes us smile. We know that you are in a better place and free from your physical burdens, but our hearts are heavy.
