Eva Butcher Salinas

Eva Butcher Salinas, age 96, passed away peacefully in Tuesday Arizona, October 29, 2019 at Care Haven Adult Care Home in Tucson Arizona. She was born September 3, 1923 in Monterey Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She was a loving mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband Augustine Salinas, grandson Alvaro Meza, daughter in-law Maria Dolores Meza, Father Andres, Mother Margarita and all 11 siblings she has now gone to heaven to join them.

Eva is survived by her 2 sons: Juan Enrique Meza (Silvia Meza) and Gus Meza (Deanna McCarthy); Grandchildren: Erika Calcagno (Joe Calcagno), Hensyl Meza, Gino Meza(Paul Meza-Hardt), Avriel Meza, Frances Meza, Daisy Porter(Seth Porter), and Liam McCarthy; Great Grandchildren: Jocelin Calcagno, Angelo Calcagno, Leonardo Calcagno, Zackary Meza, Noelani Meza, and Aiden Paul Porter.

She always put others before herself and she loved having all her family together specially for the holidays. We will miss her greatly, but her love will always live in our hearts. We are the lucky ones to have had her in our lives.

Nana Eva we love you and miss you so much!

For all the times you gently picked us up when we fell down, for all the times you tied our shoes and tucked us into bed or just made us our favorite food or needed something but put us first instead. For everything we shared, the dreams, the laughter, and the tears, your jokes, we love you with a special love that has no end. Thank you Nana Eva for all the wonderful years.

Services will be held on Friday November 8, 2019 5:00pm – 9:00pm at Martinez Funeral Chapel 2580 S. 6th Ave., Tucson, AZ 85713 (520) 547-3400

Funeral services will be held at St Augustin’s Cathedral Church 192 S Stone Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701 with mass starting at 9:00am

Pallbearers: Enrique Meza, Gus Meza, Gino Meza, Angelo Calcagno, Leonardo Calcagno, Joe Calcagno, Zackary Meza, and Liam Meza.
