Fabian Kenneth Garcia, May 17, 2000 was the day my youngest son was born; he was so beautiful. He came into this world with a smile on his face, which is why his Tata Kenny nick-named him Smiley. I remember during my entire pregnancy that I was hoping for a girl. I wished for a girl so badly. He was born with a beautiful girly face. My son is so handsome. The true meaning of his middle name is handsome; that indeed he was. He was my youngest boy, the youngest of four children. He was the baby brother. He was the heart of the family. When he was little, I remember his favorite shows were roly-poly and Caillou. Later Sponge Bob became his favorite.
My Fabian was always full of energy. As a little boy he was always happy, positive and moving forward to the next time. He would say, "next time mom, next time it will be my turn." "Yes Mijo," I replied, "yes, son." Him and I would go do special things together because it was always the two of us. He loved everyone.
His favorite colors were gray, black and red. His favorite dish as a little boy with spaghetti. As he got older, he loved chilaquiles and chicken enchiladas. He also loved my spanish rice as well as mango habanero chicken wings and anything spicy. At Thanksgiving his favorite desserts were my apple pie and banana pudding. He also really loved hot Cheetos. He enjoyed playing his game, music and dancing. Also watching movies with me (mom) and he especially loved his kids. They were his world and entire heart. All he wanted was to see his children and be with them. He was a great father and strived to be the best dad ever. He would wake up every morning at 5:00 am to prepare for work. He would often quote, "If you weren't, first you're last Ricky Bobby."
He was a hard worker and very dedicated. Fabian, Fabi, Fabuloso, Smiley, Fabio ,Fabs-everyone had a name for him. He was the life of everything; always laughing, smiling, dancing, cracking jokes, and being the laughter of every party. He looked up to his oldest brother Renee, who he loved. He wanted to be accomplished and successful like him. He looked up to his big brother so much. So proudly. He loved him so much. He also loved his sister so much and enjoyed spending time with her. He would say, "mom, I want to hear sister's song, Suga Suga." He and his brother Roman would play baseball together and ride their bikes to school. They were always wanting to go swimming. He was so grateful that big brother would help him with his bike which later helped me with my car.
He was so happy and proud when he brought his car. Also, so proud of himself when he learned how to braid his daughter’s hair. It was adoring to see his son sit on his lap when he would be playing his games. He couldn’t keep Christian’s hands off his head headset or control. He wanted to be like dad. I remember my Christian crying at the door when his daddy would leave to work, and when he would get home, they couldn’t stop hugging each other. My son was loved so big. He was my heart and my youngest child. He was a father to four-year-old. Acianna Lee Garcia and 2 year-old Cristian Lee Garcia. Now my son can see his children whenever he wants.
