Frances O. Martinez

Frances "Nina" O. Martinez, a dedicated individual who poured her heart into her work and family, passed away on June 26, 2024, in Tucson, AZ. Born on August 18, 1966, in Tucson, she leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion.

Frances was a stalwart employee at UMC Hospital for over two decades, where she touched numerous lives with her caring nature and professionalism. Her commitment to unity within her family was evident in the joyful gatherings she hosted, always ensuring that everyone felt welcome and cherished.

In her leisure time, Frances found joy in wearing headphones and singing along to her favorite tunes or indulging in captivating television shows. She moved through life at her own pace, blending fun-loving spirit with a direct and determined approach. Her proudest accomplishments were her children and grandson, whom she showered with boundless affection.

Among those who will deeply miss Frances are her beloved husband of 37 years, Mark A. Martinez; her children: Marco A. Martinez, Alexander J. Martinez (Jessica Mazzarelli), and Steven R. Martinez; her cherished grandson, Asher J. Martinez; her father, Alexander Orduno; siblings: Domingo Orduno, Ramona Ramirez, and Josie Orduno; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Nina was preceded in death by her mother, Amalia Orduno and niece, Audrey Ramirez.

The memories of France's loving nature and unwavering devotion will forever remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Services to honor and celebrate France's life will be held at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson on July 10th for visitation from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM along with a Rosary from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on July 11th at 10:00 AM.
