Frank V. Alvarez

Our family is sad to announce the loss of our larger than life boxer, Frank "Pancho" Alvarez on June 8, 2020. Born in Cananea, Mexico on March 13, 1946, to Anita and Jesus Alvarez. Frank grew up in Tucson, Az and graduated from Pueblo High school in 1966. Joined the Army National Guard, 1967 -1971, with honorable discharge. Frank's lifetime career was an Auto Body Painter, much of his work has been published in Trucking Magazines, Low Rider magazine and Hot Rod Magazines.

After extensive training and countless matches, Frank immersed himself in his love for boxing and became very well known in the boxing community as a volunteer boxing coach and role model to many aspiring boxers. Frank has left an everlasting imprint with the boxing community and will be deeply missed by his family, boxing family and his friends.

We rejoice in knowing he was greeted in heaven by his parents Anita and Jesus Alvarez, brother Ralph Alvarez, sister Mary Alvarez-Salese, and brother-in-law Armand Salese who preceded him in his passing.

He is survived by his Sister, Patsy Alvarez; Children, Panchito Alvarez Jr., Sergio Alvarez, Andrea Alvarez, Ana Soraya Alvarez, Erica Alvarez; Grandchildren, Leilani, Angelina, Danielle, David, and Gabriella. As well as several extended family members: nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who love him and will miss him dearly.
