Frederick "Fred" H. Martinez, a beloved member of the Tucson community, passed away on July 20, 2023. Born on July 12, 1963, in Tucson, Arizona, Fred touched the lives of many through his hard work and compassionate nature.
After graduating from Palo Verde High School, Fred pursued a career in HVAC and dedicated himself to this field until an unfortunate back injury forced him into retirement. Despite this setback, Fred maintained his positive spirit and continued to find joy in life's simple pleasures.
One of Fred's greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren. He cherished the moments he spent picking them up from school and sharing laughter-filled pizza dinners with them. His love for children extended beyond his own family as he embraced the role of uncle and great-uncle to his nieces, nephews, and their children.
Fred had a special bond with his twin brother, Anthony. The two shared an unbreakable connection that brought them comfort and support throughout their lives. They navigated both joyous occasions and difficult times together, standing side by side as a symbol of unwavering brotherly love.
In addition to his twin brother Anthony, Fred is survived by his only child, daughter, Analisa Reyna; son-in-law, Bart Reyna, and his cherished grandchildren Christian Reyna, Jasmine Reyna, and Zamayah Reyna. He was also a beloved brother to Gilbert Martinez (Paula), Alex Martinez (Lisa), Ruben Martinez and sister, Linda Sweeny (Gene), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Fred's compassion knew no bounds as he always made time for others in need. Whether it was lending a helping hand or offering words of encouragement, he had a remarkable ability to uplift those around him. His kindness resonated deeply within the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Fred's life on August 31, 2023, at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson. The service will begin at 2:00 PM and conclude at 4:00 PM. The funeral home is located at 2580 S. 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85713.
Fred's legacy will live on through the cherished memories shared by his family and friends. He will be remembered as a compassionate soul who brought light into the lives of those he encountered. May his gentle spirit rest in eternal peace.
