Gilberto's passion for football began at an early age. As a multisport athlete, he excelled in various fields, but it was his skills as a quarterback that truly set him apart. In 1987, he showcased his talent and led Patagonia Highschool to victory as the State Champion Quarterback. This triumph would fuel his determination to shape the future of aspiring athletes as a dedicated Football Coach.

In 1995, Gilberto achieved an extraordinary milestone when he guided the Rams to become city champions. The joy and pride that filled the hearts of both players and fans were immeasurable.
