Harvey Rodriguez Montenegro

Javier “Harvey” Rodriguez Montenegro, from Tucson, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2017 at the age of 57. Harvey is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Veronica Montenegro; his son, Angel Montenegro (Lisandra); his daughter, Selena Montenegro; his brothers, Albert Montenegro, Eddie Montenegro, Luis Montenegro and Danny Montenegro; his sister, Susan Alcarez; his father and mother-in-law’s, John and Teresa Kati, Juan and Donna Cervantez; his sister-in-law’s, Debbie Cervantez, Jacque Garcia, Tina Cervantez, Michele Sepeda; his brother in law, David Martin; nieces and nephews and four grandchildren, Angelyz, J.J., Belleza and Manolo. Harvey was very appreciative of life and his unique journey on Earth. He adored his “sweetie” and love of his life, Veronica; and as a great patriarch, protected his family unconditionally. His heart was extremely compassionate about his family and his home. He found comfort and gratification in attending any family call, you could always count on him. His home reflected love and peace, he had a natural ‘green thumb’ for plants and repaired any domestic issue with pride. He greatly enjoyed investing his time and labor to his house; he loved making improvements, a hobby at heart. His affection extended to anyone or anything he touched, he had a magnetic personality and his charisma always guaranteed a good time, especially when he acted as a host. In his past time he also enjoyed visiting the casino and had an appreciation for motorcycles. “Papa”, as his grandchildren affectionately called him, was an exceptional leader who lived life by his rules. Funeral services will commence Thursday, April 27, 2017 with a visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Rosary recital at 7:00 p.m at Martinez Funeral Chapels.
