Hector "Tutie" Borquez Ruiz, Jr.

Hector "Tutie" B. Ruiz, Jr, 72, earned his Angel Wings on February 25, 2018.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Lillian R. Ruiz; sons, Hector R. Ruiz, III (Patsy) and Daniel R. Ruiz (Lillian); daughters, Alma Linda Leon (Ray), Veronica Marie Zepeda (Henry) and Maria Luisa Ruiz; brother, Ricardo Borquez Ruiz (Mary Lou); 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Hector and his wife Lillian would have been married 53 years on March 1st. They met at Tucson High, became high school sweethearts and stayed together thereafter. He was the kind of soul that was always there for you when you needed him. Some of his favorite things to do was camping and his Budweiser. He loved food. Some of his favorite food were carne asada, cocido and tacos. He also loved old cars and he was a fantastic auto-mechanic. He self-taught himself to all the knowledge he applied to fixing cars. “Tutie” was known to have the most beautiful green eyes. He was always a hard worker and great provider to his family. He loved his family more than anything (his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and in-laws). Kids were always attracted to him. He raised his sister’s daughter as his own. He also showed concern for all his kids. He will be remembered by his sibling’s as a great and loving brother. Another one of the many things he will be remembered by are the following words: “Always think before you do something so there’s no regrets”. He will truly be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
