A hardworking man's hands have been laid to rest. Iree Lewis, 75, went home to meet his maker on May 30, 2017 and reunited with his parents, Blain and Laura Lewis and brother, Jesse Lewis. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Jean Lewis; sons, James Lewis and Mike Lewis; step-children, James Bedell and Ilene Watson; sisters, Donnie Martin and Wanda De La Ossa and seven grandchildren. Iree lived his life on his own terms. He provided for his family by training quarter horses that raced, maintaining the Lewis Family Ranch and was skilled in construction. His children were instilled with a good work-ethic by always reiterating to them that there was "a time to work and a time to play." He looked forward to the month of June because that's when he would get away to Mexico for fishing. Dancing is another of his favorite things to do, especially to the tune "Put Your Little Foot". He fought a strong fight but his family has peace knowing he can now rest. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Martinez Funeral Chapels, 891 W. Mariposa Rd., Nogales, AZ.
