Jerome Henry Smith Sr. was born on October 17, 1955, in Oakland California to Lester Charles Smith and Robelene Lowe Smith. He was one of seven other children. He attended Locke High School in Los Angeles, California and later attended L.A. Trade technical College as well as decided to attend L.A. Occupational Center to become a Printing Specialist. He was a father first, raising his four children during his life and making his living as an enlisted Army military member, now veteran. His life long enjoyment and hobbies were listening to music, socializing with others, fishing and watching lots of T.V. The one thing that he began to enjoy most during his last years on earth was reading his bible as he rededicated his life to God. He was one of the funniest men we all have come to know. He'd turn the most dire situation into a humorous one. There was never a dull moment when Jerome Sr was around. Jerome H. Smith Sr leaves behind his four living children; Unique Smith, Jerome Smith Jr., and the two twins Jerone and Sharron. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grand children. His biggest supporters and other family members that were closest to him were his immediate siblings; Linda Smith Oliver, JoAnn Smith Parker, Pearleen Smith and Ruthie Devers. Ex wife and only wife to him Catherine Smith-Wilmore, brother-n-law Frederick Burnett & Preston Daniels. As well as a host of nieces and nephews.
