Jesus Giron Reyes, affectionately known as Don Chuy, was born on August 1, 1948, in Santa Catalina, Durango. He departed this life on January 2, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Don Chuy was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Cristina Giron. Together, they nurtured a close-knit family that includes their son, Jesus Giron, and their three daughters – Eva Giron, Lissette Giron, and Cristina Giron. His strong bonds with his immediate family were mirrored in his relationships with his siblings, which included brothers Antonio Giron and Arnulfo Giron, as well as his sisters Guadalupe Giron, Audelia Giron, Imelda Giron, and Elvira Giron.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnulfo Giron and Guadalupe Giron, and his brother, Teodoro Giron. Their memories live on in the hearts of all who knew them, underscoring the importance of family in Don Chuy's life.
In honor of his life, several services will be held to allow family and friends to pay their respects. A visitation is scheduled for January 7, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a prayer service from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Nogales, Arizona. The following day, a Mass will be celebrated in his memory at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nogales on January 8, 2025, commencing at 2:00 PM and concluding at 3:00 PM.
Don Chuy's spirit will continue to shine through the love he shared with his family and friends, reminding them of the importance of connection and unity. His memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Don Chuy fue un esposo devoto de su amada esposa, Cristina Girón. Juntos, formaron una familia muy unida que incluye a su hijo, Jesús Girón, y sus tres hijas: Eva Girón, Lissette Girón y Cristina Girón.
