Chepe dedicated his life to the produce industry, where his hard work and commitment stood as a testament to his character. Throughout his career, he made friendships wherever he went, sharing countless stories that often included a delightful twist, recounting lively nights spent at the bar with none other than John Wayne. His infectious spirit and ability to embrace life made him a beloved figure in his community.

He was a family man at heart, finding immense joy in his role as a grandfather and great-grandfather. Jose had a special way of connecting with his grandchildren; he would craft unique, whimsical nicknames just for them and ensured that each visit was sweetened with delicious treats. The bond he shared with his 18 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren was profound, and their lives are forever enriched by the warmth of his love and the sweetness he brought to their lives.

In addition to his family connections, Chepe found great pleasure in simple hobbies like watching old western movies and engaging in games of cards, moments that perfectly complemented his larger-than-life personality. Jose leaves behind his loving sons, Joey Alvarez and Ray Alvarez, and his devoted daughters, Ade Lopez, and Lee Ann Wagner. Each of them carries pieces of his spirit within their hearts, forever grateful for the lessons learned and the love shared.

Jose is reunited with his beloved wife, Margarita Alvarez and Daughter Yolanda Mendivil, They have been waiting for him with open arms. Together, they will forever remain entwined in the memories and hearts of those they touched during their time on Earth.
