Jose Maria Lomeli

Jose Maria Lomeli Sr. went to the Lord our Savior on September 5, 2017 in Tucson, AZ at the age of 81. He was born on February 5, 1936 in Juchitlan, Jalisco Mexico.  Chema is survived by his lovely wife, Lydia H. Lomeli of 54 years, daughters; Lydia Martinez, Lorenia Thorman and Lucia Lomeli, son; Jose Maria Lomeli Jr.; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Chema was the oldest of 12 brothers and sisters; a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather as well as a friend to all that had the honor of knowing him. He was a co-owner of Lomeli's Concrete Art in Nogales with his son Jose Maria Lomeli, Jr. He enjoyed being "Abuelito". He always had his heart and house open to everybody that needed his help or company. He was loved by many and will be truly missed. Funeral services will be held at Tucson Baptist Temple, 1525 S. Columbus, Tucson, AZ 85711 on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Burial services will be on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Tucson, AZ.
