Louie Rivas born as Jose Luis Rivas Jr. entered the world on September 16, 1969. He was the firstborn child to Jose Luis and Olga Rivas. Louie was born in Los Angeles, California and lived with his parents and two sisters. He attended St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, CA and graduated in 1989. During his late teenage years, Louie enjoyed racing BMX bikes. In 1992 Louie left California to serve in the United States Army. During his service Louie served one tour to Iraq, and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas until he was honorably discharged in 1995.
Louie set roots in Tucson, Arizona where he spent the latter part of his life. Louie was known as the life of the party, his laugh was contagious, and he loved to surround himself with the people he loved. He had a passion for playing music and often Dj'd for various events. Louie was also well-known in the RC racing community, as he enjoyed competitively racing cars that he built and designed. His signature colors were royal blue and neon green.
Louie left his mark wherever he went, and on the hearts of every life that he touched. He was well-loved and esteemed by all.
Louie is survived by his parents, Luis and Olga Rivas, his sisters Nancy Calderon and Carmen Lendo, his children Jose Luis Rivas III, Yasmin Angelina Rivas, Astrid Riley and George Riley. His nephews Patricio and Giovanni Calderon, Anthony, Noah, and Dominic Lendo, and his nieces Natalie and Gabriella Calderon.
