Josefa Ruiz Gutierrez

Josefa R. Gutierrez, 105, was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Luis Gutierrez and her sons, Luis and Hector Gutierrez on April 9, 2017. She was born to Manuel and Julia Ruiz on September 23, 1911 in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. She is survived by her children Gloria Arellano (Jesus), Rosario Montes (Ramon), Armando Gutierrez (Yolanda) and Matilde Gutierrez; 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 25 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild. Josefa "Tencha" was a strong willed, loving, family oriented mother, friend, nana and sister. She had a strong faith in God. She instilled all her wisdom, will and beliefs to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and family. Services will take place at St John's Catholic Church, 3610 S. 12th Ave., Tucson, Arizona 85713 on Friday, April 21, 2017. There will be a viewing starting at 12:00 pm. Rosary will be recited at 12:30 pm with Mass following at 1:00 pm.  Services entrusted to Martinez Funeral Chapels.
