Juanita C. Orozco, born on February 14, 1950, in Magdalena, Sonora, Mexico, passed away on February 14, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona. She is remembered for her tremendous heart, kindness, and unwavering support to many. Juanita dedicated much of her life to being a foster parent, providing love and care to numerous children who had the privilege of being nurtured by her warm spirit.

A graduate of Pueblo High School in Tucson, Juanita carried a passion for life that was evident in everything she did. Known for her sweet nature, she would often go above and beyond to help others, exemplified by her selflessness. She once spent hours laboring in her kitchen to bake homemade empanadas, which she sold for just 10 cents at a bake sale, showcasing her generosity and love for her community.

Juanita was also a person of many interests. She loved to dance and enjoyed listening to music, often finding joy at the casino. Her personality was non-confrontational; she was truly a sweetheart who would "literally take her shirt off her back for someone" if it meant helping them. Family was her pride and joy, and she cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her children: Steve Orozco, Chris Orozco (Melissa), Sergio Orozco (Clarissa), and Jose Orozco. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Ryan, Marissa, Samuel, Clarissa, Diego, Larissa, Camron, Bianca, Christian, Savannah, Alexis, Andrew, Anaceli, Christiana, Joe, Dominic and Sabrina, as well as her great-grandchildren: Miabelize, Adonis, Emiliano, Meilani, Kye, Azaiah, Darissa, Iiyanni, and Anisa. She is also survived by her siblings: Marielos, Linda, Maria, Jose, Carlos, Rafael, and Manuel, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Juanita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesus Orozco.

Visitation will be held on February 21, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Martinez Funeral Chapels - Tucson, followed by a Rosary at 9:00 AM. A Mass will take place at Santa Cruz Catholic Church at 11:00 AM, concluding with a burial at Holy Hope Cemetery at 12:00 PM.

Juanita C. Orozco leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and family that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Juanita C. Orozco, nacida el 14 de febrero de 1950 en Magdalena, Sonora, México, falleció el 14 de febrero de 2025 en Tucson, Arizona. Se la recuerda por su gran corazón, su bondad y su inquebrantable apoyo a muchos. Juanita dedicó gran parte de su vida a ser madre adoptiva, brindando amor y cuidado a numerosos niños que tuvieron el privilegio de ser criados por su cálido espíritu.

Graduada de la escuela secundaria Pueblo High School en Tucson, Juanita tenía una pasión por la vida que era evidente en todo lo que hacía. La familia era su orgullo y alegría, y apreciaba su papel de madre, abuela y bisabuela.

A Juanita le precedió en la muerte su amado esposo, Jesús Orozco.

El velatorio se llevará a cabo el 21 de febrero de 2025, de 8:00 a. m. a 10:00 a. m. en Martinez Funeral Chapels - Tucson, seguido de un rosario a las 9:00 a. m. Se llevará a cabo una misa en la iglesia católica de Santa Cruz a las 11:00 a. m., y concluirá con un entierro en el cementerio Holy Hope a las 12:00 p. m.
