Julio Guerrero Alcantar

Julio G Alcantar, born March 27th 1936, passed away on September 20th 2022 in Tucson Az at the age of 86 joining his beloved wife Jennie. From a young age Julio had to learn to care for himself, his life was hard but he did what he had to do, which made him the person he was. He was a US Soldier who served this country from 1961 to 1966. He is remembered by his younger brother Rudy Alcantar and six children, son Luis Alcantar, and daughters Julia Ramirez (Richard), Yolanda Alcantar Miranda (Octovio), Mary Rodriguez (Daniel), Cristina Lara (Julio) and Mercy Smith ( William). He was a grandfather to eight grandchildren Eliza, Mark and Riana Lara (Cristina & Julio); Cookie and Candy Rodriguez (Yolanda & Octavio); Daisy and Daniel Jr Rodriguez and Krystal Alcantar (Mary Alcantar). Along with great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He proceeds in death with his parents Jose Alcantar and Ramona Guerrero , Wife Jennie, and brothers and sisters.The Family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the VA Hospice for taking care of Julio in his last days. Services will take place Friday, September 30th at Martinez Funeral Chapel( 2580 S 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85713) starting at 9am.
