Linda Fernandez Palafox

Ermelinda Fernandez Palafox of Tucson, AZ passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024, at the age of 79. She is survived by her daughter, Julie (Ed) Martinez; son Daniel Palafox; granddaughter, Victoria Barnett (Fiancé Abe); grandsons, Cesar Guajardo and Gabriel Guajardo and step-grandchildren, Diego, Celeste, Rubi and Nubia Martinez. Also survived by her sisters, Josie Fernandez, Gloria (Bob) Perry, Blanca Fernandez and Sylvia Uriostegui and brother, Sergio (Thelma) Guayante; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Armando Palafox; parents, Francisco Fernandez and Ermelinda Bejarano Fernandez; brothers, Luis Fernandez and Frank Fernandez; sisters, Frances Alarcon and Toni Fernandez.

Linda was a beautiful independent woman full of life. She always enjoyed and took pleasure in spending time with family and friends. She loved music and dancing. She was very active and always on the go. Full of spunk and very outspoken. One of her favorite things was food. She loved going out to eat, especially to her favorite restaurant, Mi Nidito. She was known for her amazing cooking, from her delicious tamales to her famous salsa. But what Linda will be remembered most for was being a true fashionista. Always looking her very best from her clothes, to her hair and makeup. Her famous saying was “IF YOU LOOK GOOD, YOU FEEL GOOD."

Linda leaves behind endless memories that we will hold close to our hearts. She is going to be truly missed. 

The services to honor and celebrate Linda’s life will be held at Martinez Funeral Chapels, 2580 S. 6th Ave Tucson, AZ on Thursday July 25, 2024, from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm.
