Lorenza G. Nunez

Lorenza G. Nunez, 61 entered eternal life to be with our heavenly father on October 18, 2020. Leaving behind to cherish her memory are her sons; Richard Rene, Juan Alberto, Armando, Carlos and Juan Nuñez. Her daughters; JoAnne Ramirez, Jessica Nuñez, Jeanette Nuñez and Yolanda Thievener. Her brothers; Antonio, Guillermo and Felix Gomez. Also leaving behind 32 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Lorenza was born and raised in El Paso, TX, but spent the last 13 years in Tucson, AZ. Lorenza was well known by “Laurie” or “Mema” She was a funny, loving and a caring woman, she could make conversation and friendships with anyone and anywhere. She was humble and generous, always willing to help her children, grandchildren and anyone who needed a little help. She will be greatly missed by many.

A memorial service will be held Friday October 30, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Chapel, 2580 S. 6th Avenue in Tucson.  Followed by a small reception from 3pm-6pm.

Mema,our hearts are beyond broken, but we know that you are at peace in God’s glory and in the arms of your true love. We take comfort knowing that you are no longer in pain or suffering. We will hold your memories close to our hearts forever. Gone but never forgotten.
