Lorna Rene Castillo

Lorna Rene Castillo, a cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother, was born on September 11, 1960, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She departed this world on October 11, 2024, in Tucson, Arizona, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity and devotion that will be profoundly felt by her family and friends.

Lorna dedicated her life to her role as a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted wife. She took immense pride in her family, often describing her children and grandchildren as her proudest accomplishments. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and hospitality, where her artistic talents flourished. An amazing cook, Lorna delighted those around her with culinary creations that brought everyone together. She had a passion for painting, pottery, and drawing, each brushstroke and sculpture reflecting her vibrant spirit and deep appreciation for beauty. Her love of antiques and dedication to her garden showcased her nurturing nature and her ability to cultivate life, both in her surroundings and within her family.

Lorna's greatest joy came from spending time with her loved ones. Whether it was gathering around the table, sharing stories, or enjoying the serenity of her garden, she enriched the lives of all who knew her. Her nurturing embrace, infectious laughter, and generous heart made every moment spent with her a treasured memory.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Joe L. Castillo; her children, Chassie Gamez, Rhiena Rodriguez, Roman Lujan, and Joe Castillo; father, Leandro Lujan; 15 grandchildren; her siblings, Laurie, Lynn, and JB; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who will carry her memory forward.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on October 21, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson, AZ. Lorna's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched, a beautiful reminder of an extraordinary life filled with love, warmth, and creativity.
