Luisa Francisca Fuggiti, a beloved figure to all who knew her, passed away peacefully in Tucson, Arizona on October 21, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on June 13, 1932, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she lived a life enriched by her spirited personality and deep connections to her family and faith.
Luisa was known for her energetic, friendly, and caring nature, traits that made her memorable. She was the beloved mother of Adrian (Angela), the late Darlene (William), Lorena (Jeffrey), devoted grandmother of Andrew (Christine), Marcela, Anthony (Amy), Alyssa (Matt) and Alanna (James). Great grandmother of Nathan, Elle, Ava, Bugsy Lou and Mae. Her family was central to her life, and she often spoke of her pride in their accomplishments, cherishing every moment spent with them. Luisa's warm spirit and unwavering support will be missed deeply by her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A devoted follower of the Catholic Church, Luisa’s faith played a significant role in her life. She found joy in daily activities, whether tending to her cherished garden, refurbishing furniture, creating beautiful pottery, or expressing herself through painting. These hobbies reflected her artistic flair and capacity for nurturing life in all forms.
Luisa was preceded in death by her husband, Omero, her daughter, Darlene Kushner, her sister, Angela Porro and her brother, Federico Porro. The legacy of her love and the memories built with her family will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those she leaves behind
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on October 30, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Chapels in Nogales, Arizona. A Mass celebrating her life will follow at 1:00 PM at Most Holy Nativity Catholic Church in Rio Rico, Arizona, with burial at the Nogales City Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
