Whether she was sitting outside in the sunshine, making popsicles for her family, or engaging in heartfelt conversations about life's journey, she embodied a spirit of warmth and generosity. Her resourcefulness was evident as she diligently worked around the house, often taking apart various broken appliances to understand how they functioned.
A devoted mother, Lydia is survived by her children, Victor Ricardo Lopez and Gloria A. Kirkpatrick, who cherish the countless memories made and the deep love she imparted to them. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Martha Rebecca Hidalgo, Yolanda Alvarez, and Maria de Jesus, with whom she shared a special bond that stood the test of time. Lydia’s legacy continues through her two grandchildren and a great-grandchild, who will carry forward her spirit in their lives.
The Graveside Service to honor Lydia’s life will be held on November 16, 2024, at the Nogales City Cemetery in Nogales, Arizona. It will begin at 11:00 AM.
