Lydia Lopez, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, peacefully away on October 26, 2024 in Rio Rico, Arizona. Born on March 27, 1940, in Magdalena, Sonora, Mexico, Lydia was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by love kindness, and an unwavering commitment to her family.

Lydia's vibrant personality shone through in all her endeavors. She was passionate about gardening, sewing, and drawing, often finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether she was sitting outside in the sunshine, making popsicles for her family, or engaging in heartfelt conversations about life's journey, she embodied a spirit of warmth and generosity. Her resourcefulness was evident as she diligently worked around the house, often taking apart various broken appliances to understand how they functioned.

She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Martha Rebecca Hidalgo, Yolanda Alvarez, and Maria de Jesus, with whom she shared a special bond that stood the test of time. Lydia’s legacy continues through her two grandchildren and a great-grandchild, who will carry forward her spirit in their lives.
