It is with a Heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of Manuel Lopez Jr. Who lost his battle with Kidney disease. He passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on September 27th 2024.

Manuel served in the United States Marine Corp as a Corporal during the Vietnam War Era (1968-1971). During his Service he was given multiple Honors. He received the “VIETNAM CAMPAIGN METAL”, “REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM GALLANTRY CROSS”, “GOOD CONDUCT METAL”, & “A COMBAT MISSION RIBBON”.

Manuel had many professions during the years from Yard work and gardening, the Handyman everyone always called upon to up in the kitchen making homemade beans and bread, He was the Perfect example of a Man of all trades.

He had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge always taking time out to go read his bible and most recently completed a course for Small Engine Repair online and in his words it was so he could “Teach the Grandkids how to fix lawn mowers”.

Manuel was a homebody for the most part but always had incredible patience and would always help others when needed.

He is Survived by his wife Anna Lopez, The love of his life and they have shared over 31 years together. He is also survived by his children Manuel Lopez III, Dolores Cecilia Lopez, Joshua Pena (Ilany), Johnny “Juan” Lopez (Korinne), Stella Pena-Lopez, Augustina Lopez, Alejandro Pena-Lopez. His siblings Sam, Eva, Eddie & Mona. He will be greatly missed by his 21 grandchildren and His memory will live on with numerous nieces and nephews and Extended family and friends.

Visitation and Rosary will be held at the Martinez Funeral home 2580 S 6th Ave Tucson, Az 85713 on October 18th, 2024 from 12-4.

Celebration of life will follow from 5-8pm at 4675 W Nebraska St Tucson, Az 85757.
