Marco Antonio Torres

Bravely fighting for more time, Marco Antonio Torres has joined his Heavenly Father at the young age of 41.  He laid down his sword and peacefully took his last breath while surrounded by his loving family on Friday, June 9, 2017. He has now become a guardian angel to: his beloved wife of 12 years, Ana Ailen Torres; sons, Mario, Marco Antonio and Alfonso Andres; daughter, Marlene; brother, Mariano Alfonso Torres; sister, Carmen Elena Ibarra; father, Marco Antonio and Martha Torres; mother, Maria Elena and Arturo Navarro; grandchildren, Bella, Hayden and Logan Russell; niece Crystal Ariana, nephews, aunts, uncles and many, many friends. He had a special place in his heart for his mother and jokingly called himself her "consentido". Marco was the definition of a good family man and expressed his love to them by working hard and cooking for them.  Although he may have been referred to as a "grumpy grandpa" he loved his grandchildren, dearly.  He will be remembered for his grand smile and his witty sense of humor; his charismatic energy lit up a room!  Marco enjoyed playing basketball and he cheered on his favorite football team, the Oakland Raiders. Marco was also a huge UofA fan.  The happiness you brought to the lives you have touched, will live on forever as you are loved so much.  There will be a visitation on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., at Martinez Funeral Chapels. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Iglesia Nuevo Amanecer, 1481 N Industrial Park Dr #1, Nogales, AZ 85621.
