Maria A Martinez

Maria A. Martinez, 78, was called home by our Lord on August 19, 2018 in Tucson, Arizona. She is survived by husband of 53 years, Jesus Diaz Martinez; sons, Jesus A. Martinez and Gerardo Martinez; daughter, Frances G. Lopez; brother, Tomas Alarcon; sister, Lourdes Alarcon; grandchildren, David Ernesto and Daniel Adrian Lopez; great- grandchildren, Luz Alicia Lopez, Abel Ernesto Lopez, and Santiago Adriel Lopez. Very hard-working hands laid to rest. She was always concerned about her family's well-being and enjoyed cooking delicious meals for them. Ice cream was one of her favorite desserts especially when shared with loved ones. A long-time parishioner of St. Augustine Cathedral and frequently visited the San Xavier Mission. She will live on forever in the hearts of all those she touched. Committal Services will be September 04, 2018 by deacon Sal Carmona from St. Augustine Cathedral Parish at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Hope Cemetery where we will be meeting at the Cemetery Office at 10:30 a.m. before going out to graveside. Family and friends are invited to go enjoy some Thrifty ice-cream after graveside. Address will be provided by Frances.
