Maria Clara Cervantes Gracia

Maria, beloved mother, daughter, sister, friend, and mother in law passed away peacefully on April 02, 2024, at age of 74. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Maria had a kind and caring heart, always willing to help others in need. She had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh. She was truly the light of the party and knew how to have a good time. Her presence brightened the lives of those around her caring nature and infectious laughter.

She worked for Nogales Unified School District for 25 years as a teacher's aide and was a force of inspiration that touched the lives of countless students. Her personality and unwavering dedication left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a very happy and nonjudgmental person who always lend a listening ear, offered words of wisdom, or simply shared a warm smile. Her legacy as a teacher's  aide transcends the boundaries of time and space leaving many lives touched and changed by her kindness and understanding.

She was not only a great mom but also had a fantastic personality. Her combination of kindness, humor, grace, and selfless made her someone truly special. She had a diverse range of interest and enjoyed both the excitement of sports, like watching the Phoenix Suns play, as well as the tranquility of outdoor adventures like camping. Going to the beach was absolutely her most favorite thing to do. She found joy in simply unwinding with the sound of the waves. Nothing brought her more joy than gathering with her family to play card games. Maria cherished these moments of togetherness, where laughter filled the room and bonds were strengthened over friendly competition. Her love for card games, crossword puzzles and casino games not only provided enjoyment but also created cherished that will be treasured by her family for years to come.

Her proudest accomplishments were centered on the success and achievements of her children, Charlie and Monica, and her husband Eduardo. She was a devoted grandmother who enjoyed her grandchildren to the fullest.

Maria will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and generosity. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband Eduardo Cervantes, Sons Carlos Eduardo Cervantes (Denise), Ricardo Cervantes, Daughter Monica Isela Cervantes, Sisters Clarissa Ortiz, Connie Bonillas, Brothers Manuel Gracia, Mike Gracia, Mario Gracia, Carlos Gracia, Antonio Gracia, Alex Gracia and her 10 Grandchildrens Ali, Bryan, Michael, CJ, Charlize, Austin, Danny, Marie, Christy, Jaime.
