Maria A. Pedrego

Our family is mourning the loss of our beloved matriarch, Maria A. Pedregó.  She was born July 1, 1939, to Romulo and Maria Arguelles in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico.  She joined her beloved Viejito, (husband) Abraham Pedregó on March 4, 2023, who preceded her in death in December of 2020.  She is also preceded in death by her sister, Otilia Sosa; brother Francisco Arguelles and son-in-law, Hector Fuentes.  She is survived by her children; Elva Aguilera (Rudy), Aracelia Fuentes, Abraham Pedregó Jr. (Rossy), Lourdes Moreno (Javier), and Arturo Pedregó (Silvia). Mourning her loss are also her 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include her husband's other children/grandchildren who she considered and loved as her own.  She was a proud member of the Guadalupanas at Santa Cruz Parish where she participated in a weekly prayer group, helped with the annual church fiestas, and where she made life-long friends which she cherished until the end.  She was saddened when health issues made it difficult to remain an active member of these groups.  She brought love and joy everywhere she went and was instantly loved by everyone she met.  She enjoyed family gatherings and you could always count on her to dance and sing along to her favorite music.  Although we will forever love and miss her, we take comfort in that she is pain-free and that she is now hand in hand with her Viejito, who she missed every single day.  Ama/Nani, you leave us with many great memories, witty sayings, and love in our hearts - we will meet again.  Descansa en paz viejita querida, hermosa.
