Mariana E. Johnson, 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday with her family by her side. She is lovingly survived by her children; Andrea Alvarez (Sergio), Denise Ciardulli and John Johnson (Dawn Edelman); grandchildren, Melanie Alvarez, Albert Alvarez, Mariana (Ryan) Sand, Sergio (Lya) Alvarez, Dorreen Ciardulli, Jimmy Ciardulli, Michael Ciardulli and Lisa Ciardulli; great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Elizabeth, Anabel, Sophia, Ryan, Cody, Jason, Joey, Jayden, Allyssa and Andrea; as well as many extended family and good friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, John Johnson. Mariana worked as a nurse for over 45 years, spending ten of those years working at Holy Cross Nursing Home. Known for never leaving home without looking impeccable. She was a devout Catholic, attending Catholic schools all throughout her youth. Such a loving and giving person that touched many lives. Her pet birds and cats became her family. She had a green thumb caring so well for her plants and flowers. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the loves of her life. They brought her so much joy and happiness. When you dined with her, whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, her table was always set so formal it made you feel so special. She enjoyed her daily gin martinis up until her final days. So beautifully unique and fun; her presence is already dearly missed.
