Martha Elena Saavedra-Valdez

Martha Saavedra-Valdez, was born December 20th, 1970, and passed away on March 4th, 2022. Martha was a loving mother, wife, Nana, daughter, sister and friend. Her bright smile, big hugs, and contagious laughter filled a room, and she was always ready to help those in need. Her greatest pride was her family. Her daughters and her husband were her world and she made sure they always knew that through her unconditional love, advice, and care. Martha's ailments sometimes slowed her down, but she always found comfort having her grandchildren around, and companionship with her support dog Chapo. Martha was a loving daughter and a caring sister to her siblings and their families. She was a special aunt/Nina and best friend to so many throughout the years. To name them all would be impossible, but please know that she held each and every one of you close to her heart. To know Martha was to love her - and to love her cooking. She took great pride in her cooking and filled many bellies throughout the years. Whether she was cooking for an event or a family gathering, we always knew that if Martha was going to be there we were in for a feast. 

She is preceded in death by her father Manuel Saavedra. She is survived by her husband Henry, her children Amber, Elizabeth (Luis), and Ivette (Chris); mother Dolores Saavedra; grandchildren Alejandro, Endo, and Ezah; siblings Manuel (Michelle), Oscar (Maria), Francisco (Takiya), Terry, and Ulises (Brenda); brother-in- law Randy Valdez; numerous nieces, nephews, and God children that adored their Tia/Nina/Nana Martha; as well as her special pup Chapo, and grandpups Nala, Dayzie, Chiquita and Zona. Martha will be missed beyond words, but we will keep her spirit alive with the beautiful memories she leaves with us.
