Mary L. Davis

Mary L. Davis, 86, was called to her eternal resting place on April 16, 2017. She is preceded in death by her mother, María Luisa Grijalva, and her daughters, Rosie Hernandez and Gloria Herrera. She is survived by her daughters: Blanca Rosales, Irma Rosales and Martha Miranda (Luis); brother, Ray Lizarraga; 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Mary’s memory will forever be cherished as a good mother and loving grandmother. Through her tender love, she developed a unique relationship with her grandchildren and took pleasure in picking fights with them, this was mutual entertainment. She was a very lively spirit, feisty in fact. She was fond of baseball and was taken to her first Diamondbacks game last year by her grandson. She took leisure in camping, watching classic Western cinema- Little House on the Prairie and The Waltons were among her favorites- and indulging in her favorite meal, chicken tacos! Funeral services will commence with a visitation on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A Chapel Service will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Services entrusted to Martinez Funeral Chapels, 2580 S. 6th Ave., Tucson, Arizona.
