Michael "Mike" Pere Nelson, 33, passed away on April 4, 2018. He is survived by his mother, Kimberley Ann Nelson; aunt, Michaeline Simek, uncle, Vincent Gates; maternal grandmother, Beatrice Gates; girlfriend, Michelle Achterhof and his Uncle Bob. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Vincent Gates. Michael was a very caring and sensitive person who shared his love with everyone. He was a very talented musician and could play many instruments including the guitar, drums, banjo and keyboard. He was trying to excel in his studies by taking online courses through the University of Milwaukee, pursuing a degree in Addiction Psychology. He wanted to make a positive difference in helping others with their addictions. Mike enjoyed eating hot sauce-the spicier, the better! He also loved drinking root beer and was able to eat a whole dozen glazed donuts. He is remembered as a very respectful gentleman who had an old soul. A free-thinker with a rebellious side but also very compassionate. His free spirit didn't allow him to stay settled for a long time so he was very well-traveled. As a conversationalist and philanthropist, he easily made friends. He was an Aquarius who loved nature and very spiritual. He held a special place in the heart's of his family, for this, he will never be forgotten.
