Mildred Majalca, 87, born in Ridgeway, Missouri, died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Tucson on November 2nd, 2018. Born June 13th, 1931 she was the oldest of 7 children, 1 sister and 5 brothers. She is preceded in death by her mother (Dorothy), father (Fred), late husband (Manuel), three of her five brothers (Roy, Ronald, Walter), two daughters (Debbie, Sharon), one son (Larry), one granddaughter (Tina), one grandson (Jason), and one great granddaughter (Abrielle). Mildred is survived by four of her seven children, Shirley (Ernie), J.R (Robin), Sandy (Dave) and Shelly (Tom). One of Mildred's favorite things to do was make some of the best Green Corn Tamales. She would spend all day preparing and making them. Mildred also was known for making a fashion statement and wore high heeled shoes all the time. She may have been 87 years old, but that didn't stop her from walking around in high heels. The family wishes to thank those who cared for her during her last days. Mildred requested no funeral service, so in lieu of a service the family will contact those who wish to come and return her remains to the Mountains she loved, Washington Camp, Patagonia, AZ sometime in the Spring of 2019.
