Mirna Ortega, age 43 was ushered into the presence of God on the 5th of January 2020 in Tucson Arizona where she lived in her beloved “Old Pueblo” over 20 years. She was born on February 16, 1976 in Monterey Park, California to proud and loving parents Hector Alonso Ortega and Margarita Lancaster.
She is preceded in death by her Father Hector Alonso Ortega, her paternal and maternal grandparents. Those left to cherish her memories are her 4 children Alexis Alfonso Villa, Denise Amanda Buchholz, Nicholas Bucholtz (son in law), Francisco José Villa, Ralphie Alonso Ortega. Her Mamita Chula Margarita Lancaster, her sister and brothers, many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, 2 great nieces, 3 great nephews.
Mirna had a funny sense of humor and a great smile. She was caring and loving. As a single Mom she loved and taught her kids to grow up to do their very best in life. That all things were possible and reachable. To pray and trust God to lead the way. Her love for God was and His word carried her through life’s hardest times. She remained steadfast in her faith and truly understanding that surrendering everything to God was the one thing to do. Trusting Him with her prayer request through the years.
She was a wonderful cook and loved watching the monsoon storms go by leaving the sweet aroma moist soil and cool air to trigger nostalgia of summers past.
She was a girly girl all the way. Loved music and cleaning the house without it was never an option. The faster the music the more she got done.
Those who knew her best knew she would stand her ground and speak her mind for truth and honor. She loved coffee and soft fuzzy socks. One could never have enough of either. She was a faithful and trustworthy kind hearted woman.
Mirna attended Ynez Elementary School in Monterey Park Ca. Sierra Middle School in Tucson Az., Montebello High School in Montebello Ca. Acquired her GED and attended Apollo College for Billing and Coding. She was passionate about her part time job as a home health aide. She loved her clients and took her job very seriously. Loved on them as if they were her on family. From there she worked in a real estate office for a few years. There was nothing she could not do.
Mirna will be loved and greatly missed by her family and friends across the US states and in Mexico.
Heaven has just become more valuable to us. Paul wrote in Philippians “ For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better”.NLT You will grieve her and rejoice in her that she is with our Lord. Take comfort in knowing that from the foundation of time these were the number of days that our Lord has given to her. Let us pray for one another through this pain and grief.
