Mitchell Mattox, Jr.

Mitchell Mattox, Jr., 78, went home to be with the Lord on November 16, 2017.  He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Christina M. Mattox; son, Mitchell Mattox, III; daughters, Michelle Mattox, Christina Cox and Laura Mattox; sisters, Debra "Debbie" Jean Smith (Tim) and Betty Lois Gardner; grandchildren, Christopher Quiroga, Angelica Cox, Olivia Cox, Brittany Mattox and Anissa Castle; close cousins, Naomi Carol Wilson (Sandy) and son, Jason Craig; preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Martin and siblings.  Mitchell was a social butterfly and loved to sit around with his friends and family with his Jim Beam in hand, while country music was playing in the background.  He was an amazing story teller and Christmas was his favorite holiday.   A very loving grandfather that absolutely adored his grandchildren.  He was a carpenter by trade and was always building things.  He had an adventurous spirit and could be seen riding a quad.  Although we miss him terribly, we know we will see each other again.    Following the funeral services a celebration of life will be held at his home in Sonoita, Arizona at 45 Mattox Lane.Please send all floral arrangements to the funeral home at 891 W.
