Nelda Mary Noperi, a cherished and beloved of our community, has passed away on December 20, 2023. She was born on March 15, 1954, in Bisbee, where she grew up surrounded by the warmth and love of her family and friends.
Nelda will always be remembered for her high-spiritedness during the holidays and her cherished traditions with her family. Those lucky enough to have known her will recall that every hug from Nelda enveloped you in a world of love and comfort. She had a unique talent for brightening every room she entered with her infectious laughter and goofiest dances. Her strong-mindedness served as an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her.
Nelda had a zest for life that encompassed a variety of hobbies and interests. Baking brought her immense joy, and through her delicious creations, she shared her love with those around her. Whether it was dancing to the tunes of Oldies or immersing herself in the art of sewing, Nelda found solace and happiness in pursuing these passions.
More than anything else, Nelda cherished time spent with her family. She is survived by her loving children Jessie Noperi, Oscar Noperi, Robert Noperi, Carlos Noperi, Cruz Noperi, and Melissa Leyva. Their bond was unbreakable, and she took immeasurable pride in being a devoted mother. Nelda's legacy lives on through the memories forged with her 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, Nelda is also survived by two brothers: Jack Carbajal and Frank Carbajal; as well as two sisters: Adeline Romo and Martha Nevilles. Their support filled each day of Nelda's life with love and friendship.
Nelda Mary Noperi touched the lives of countless individuals throughout her time with us. Her unwavering kindness, compassion, and selflessness resonated deeply with all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy built on love, and the impact she had on our lives will forever be cherished.
As we bid farewell to Nelda, let us remember to carry forth the values she held dear in our own lives – kindness, compassion, and the ability to find joy even in the simplest of moments. Nelda's spirit will forever dance amongst us, reminding us to live life to the fullest.
May her soul find eternal peace, and may we find solace in the memories we shared with her. Rest in peace, dear Nelda Mary Noperi.
