Nellie Diaz Urbina

Nellie Diaz Urbina, 82, of Tucson, AZ, passed away on September 28, 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fernando L. Urbina, parents; Emilia and Julian Diaz, brother; Ray Diaz, sister; Becky Diaz. She is survived by her daughters; Cynthia Armenta (Aurelio) and Alma Loya (Alex); sons, Walter Urbina (Tina), Genaro Urbina (Lupe), Ruben Urbina and William Urbina (Alma), 17 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren, brother; Raul Diaz (Irma), sisters; Sarah Meza and Mary Carmen Castillo.

On September 28th our Beautiful Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Nellie Diaz Urbina, Gained her wings from God Almighty. Nellie retired from TUSD School District after many years of working as a Teacher’s Aide at Peter Howell Elementary School. She loved doing volunteer work such as helping out in snack bars for TYF and Baseball. She also loved cooking for everyone’s special events and was very well known for her cooking. She enjoyed weekend road trips and family gatherings in her home. She took great pride in her family and always loved unconditionally. Mom you will forever be loved and missed by many.
