Nina Gonzalez

Nina Vasquez, 47, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on April 29, 2017.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 10 years, Jose Ramon Gonzalez; son, Jacob Vasquez; daughter, Cassandra Reyes (Jose); brothers, Mario Aguilar (Margaret), Santos Felix (Josie), Gilbert Aguilar and Augustine Aguilar (Matty); sister, Delilah Aguilar; parents, Augustine Aguilar (Sylvia) and Gloria Diaz; paternal grandmother, Cecilia Inigo; aunts, Sonia Salcido (David) and Socorro Mendez (Roman) and two grandchildren, Lianette and Noeliz Reyes.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Aguilar and her maternal grandfather, William Diaz.  Nina was full of life and never once allowed her illness to stand in her way of enjoying it to the fullest.  She never complained and fought a courageous battle.  She was a social butterfly that enjoyed dancing to all types of music, interacting on social media and playing board games.  She never missed her favorite novelas and was constantly on her telephone.  Nina lit up a room with her beautiful smile and was always willing to give a helping hand to whomever needed it.  She was an amazing "Nana" to her two grandchildren and had a special place in her heart for her aunts.  Nina married the love of her life, Jose, who affectionately called her his "Liona". She will be greatly missed but will live on in the hearts she touched.
